How Solar Panel Installation Works in Falkirk

The process is simple: send your details, we call to discuss your roof and goals, we arrange a no-obligation survey, our MCS-certified partner prepares a written quote, and if you go ahead the installation is typically completed within a day or two for a standard domestic system. Here is each stage in detail.

Solar panel technician installing panels on a house roof near Falkirk

Step 1 — Send us your details

Start by completing the form on our get a quote page or the form on the home page. Tell us your name, phone number, email, postcode and what you are interested in — solar panels, solar with a battery, battery storage only, or simply a roof suitability check. There is no obligation at this stage. If you prefer, call us on 0141 230 0198.

Step 2 — We call to discuss your roof and your aims

A member of our team will call you to talk through your property, your current electricity use and what you are hoping to achieve. This is a conversation, not a sales pitch. We will ask about your roof orientation, whether you have a suitable space for a battery, and whether you are mainly looking to reduce your grid use, add storage, or both. If your roof is unlikely to be suitable we will say so honestly.

Step 3 — No-obligation survey at your home

If your home looks suitable, we arrange a no-obligation survey at a time that suits you. The survey covers the usable roof area, orientation and pitch, any shading from chimneys, trees or neighbouring buildings, the condition of the roof, your electrical setup, and where a battery and inverter would sit. The surveyor will answer your questions and explain the options in plain language. This applies whether you live in Falkirk, Grangemouth, Larbert, Stenhousemuir, Bo'ness, Polmont, Denny, Camelon or Bonnybridge.

Step 4 — Written quote from our MCS-certified partner

After the survey, our MCS-certified partner prepares a written quote setting out the proposed panel array, the battery size if included, the inverter and monitoring, the installation work and the total price. We install through MCS-certified partners, so your system is fitted to recognised industry standards. You take the quote away and decide in your own time — there is no pressure to sign anything on the day.

Step 5 — Installation

If you decide to go ahead, the installation is booked. For a standard domestic system the work is typically completed within a day or two. Scaffolding goes up first for safe roof access, the panels and inverter are fitted, the battery is installed if included, and the system is connected and tested. The installers tidy up as they go and talk you through the system before they leave.

Step 6 — Handover and monitoring

Once the system is installed and commissioned, you are shown how it works, how to read the monitoring app, and what to expect across the seasons. The monitoring app shows how much your panels are generating, how much the battery is storing and how much your home is using, so you can see the system working day to day. If you have any questions after installation, we are on the end of the phone.

How long does the whole process take?

From your first enquiry to a completed installation usually takes a few weeks, depending on survey availability, how quickly you decide to proceed, and installation scheduling. We keep you informed at every stage so you always know what is happening next.
